This week's question from The Hop:
Why do you read the genre that you do? What draws you to it?
I tend to read anything that is well-written and recommended. I like quirky stories of any genre. It depends on my mood: I can read horror, gothic (Ghormenghast horray!), romance (The Tapestry of Love by Rosy Thomas), Literary (The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton). If you like it - then I will too.
This week's question from Follow Friday:
What makes up your non-human family? The neighbor's cat! (I live in an apartment and would never have a pet that needed to go out. I can't stand those people who make their pets spend the day on the balcony). I love the duck (plastic) that sits on top of my computer and I love my brother's teddy bear. Does that help? :-)
I'm with you; I like well-written almost anything (except romance and erotica and most memoirs). If it holds the attention and makes the outside world disappear for a while, I'm all for getting lost inside the pages!

ReplyDeleteI like reading all different types of books - as long as it's interesting, decently written, and fun to read.
