- I particularly liked Nathan Bransford's Ten Commandments for Editing.
- I'm on Pinterest. It's another social networking site. I'm not quite convinced that it's of much use to authors and readers...but maybe you'll put me right there.
- Amazon UK's in the news here. Tax avoidance? The very idea...
- Looks like all those workshops on writing effective query letters worked. Pity about the manuscript, though: Publisher's Weekly
- If you're into literary fiction, this blog's for you. And a bit of everything on this one here.
- And the continuing debate about book reviews (sigh), this one's on Dear Author.
See you tomorrow with "L".
Oh, Susan, I can't keep up!!! I shall bookmark this post for after the A to Z. So many interesting links there but so little time to do anything but A to Zed it! Aaaagh!
ReplyDeleteI love the ten editing commandments, they are really useful!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I think Pinterest has some uses for writers, if you can find interesting enough photos to use for a post. I have stumbled across some cool blogs just by clicking on Pinterest images. :D
Susan - I use Pinterest to draw followers to my historical fiction reviews blog. I have a board called "Historical Fiction Books Worth Reading" and direct viewers to my blog review. In addition, I pin interesting book trailers, author interviews, anything I can find of interest that relates to the book in question. I'm slowly gathering followers (only being doing it for a few month) but, hey, if it drives traffic to my blog it's worth it. Takes very little time to pin a few items on the board. I'm hoping I can increase readership of my blog to use it as a jumping off point for my novel when it's ready to go.
ReplyDeletei haven't even been on pinterest since starting this a-z thing--good info thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the list of interesting links. I've joined printerest, but that's about all I've done with it so far.
ReplyDeleteKeeping up is getting tougher!
ReplyDeleteI saw that story about Amazon in the UK while there. Doesn't sound good. And I'm staying away from Pinterest. I don't need any more distraction. :)
