If you're an author lucky enough to be published by a publisher who can afford to fund a real book tour, then you'd be zipping around the country, making presentations, doing signings and just willing people to buy your book.
If you're an author, like me, published by a small publisher and your book's an e-book then none of the above is going to happen.
So you do a blog tour.
This is the first time I've done one so I thought I'd let you know how I get on. First of all - here's the link of the host site: http://thesepaperworldsbt.blogspot.pt/ where my schedule is. As you can see, I have several slots each with a theme. Today's theme is "Ten Tips for Aspiring Authors". Take a look at what I wrote: http://theclockworkofthebooks.blogspot.pt/.
Let me know in the comments if you have any queries.
Good luck Sue!

ReplyDeleteI have to admit this content was very worthwhile. I discovered you with a google search and was rather stunned at your rank for this article.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your tour!
ReplyDeleteIf you get chance pop over to my blog and look at the post 'Winners'. ;0
Thank you Lynn, Aurana Books...and...and Glynis! Yay! I won a book >3 Thank you (big smile)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with that, Susan. At least you don't have to suffer traffic jams, horrible food and a sense of losing the will to live. :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best
MK
True enough Mark - I'll count my lucky stars LOL
DeleteWhy do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving.
